How Much Do Porcelain Veneers Cost?
The cost of porcelain veneers varies greatly even across the state of Arizona. While $1500 apiece may be a typical fee if you take an average, you're going to find a great difference say, from Kingman in Northern Arizona, where porcelain veneers may cost under $1000 apiece, to Scottsdale, where a cost of $2000 per tooth may be found at some dentists.
Expert cosmetic dentists often charge over $1000 for porcelain veneers per teeth. You may be able to find informational sites quoting fees as low as $500 for porcelain veneers, but it is strongly cautioned that patients should not look for bargains when getting veneers.
When you first talk to your dentist about veneers, they will typically quote porcelain veneer fees on a "per unit" (or per tooth) basis. For example, if you want veneers on four of your upper front teeth you would expect to pay four times your dentist's per unit fee.
Every dentist will insist on a consultation appointment before quoting a cost for porcelain veneers. (There may be an examination fee for this visit.) When scheduling your consultation, the receptionist should be able to tell you how much the consultation fee is precisely.
Most dentists will not want to give you a quote by phone until looking at your teeth, since there could be other issues that need to be dealt with first. In addition, a phone inquiry, especially those about cosmetic procedures, often result in "apples and oranges" comparisons. Some dental labs can create veneers that are cheaper (and possible more cheaply made) that will result in a lower cost but not look as natural or last as long.
